A special wish

Lots of yummy fun for this challenge at The Lollipop Ladies .

Challenge 46 - Turkish Delight and Squares . If it's not coated in chocolate (my favourite ) then it's usually dusted with icing sugar and does come in lots of colours ,not just pink .

The poppy stamp is from Abi's Crafts and I've double stamped with white and pink to represent the Turkish Delight and the icing sugar,the sticker sentiment was a prize win as was the flower.

Who lives at the bottom of my garden ?

Hello ,Hello ,can you see me down here in the grass. At the moment I'm very small but one day I will be big . My fungi friends are with me making sure I'm not lonely. Who will I look like when I grow up ?

Could it be me ? The spots look the same.

Just Purr- fect

This is one of those projects I really enjoyed doing. I made one of these a few years ago and added a tiny mouse sitting next to the cat. I changed the word LOVE to FRIEND and gave it to a lovely friend who was going back to live in Florida.

It was very easy to do and I can see myself making another one and perhaps changing the wording. All the stitches were very simple but I think very effective .

Thinking of You

Stamps I used ,sorry I don't know where they came from. I also used a flower stamp for the butterfly paper. It's all very well making a tag but it doesn't stand up for the photo .I improvised with a tiny hairbrush and cut away some of the bristles leaving just enough to hold my tag.

Africa is calling

When I decided to knit and sew a few things I really wanted them to go overseas,perhaps Africa or another poor country. I e-mailed a few very well known organisations and asked if they would like the finished items to send abroad - a resounding NO . It would seem cash is the only donation they are interested in having . Care for Africa do however need knitted and sewn items which go over in a large container periodically . If anyone would like to participate I am happy for you to post them direct to me and I will pass them on or you can send direct to CFA.

Birthday wishes for my friend Jeanne over in South Australia .The main pic is from Graphic45,the floral paper is from a mini stack which has no name. The sentiment is a new stamp I just bought from Kaisercraft.

Just for you

The leaves were painted with clear nail polish to give a glossy effect.I think the card base looks like one of those stiff skirts worn by Irish dancers.

I hope you can see the shine ,I've laid one of flowers on the matt paper I used.I couldn't find any shiny paper in my stash that I liked for this card,the shops were closed so I had to improvise.Before punching or cutting out your design cover the paper in clear sellotape or the clear sticky back plastic used to cover books and recipe cards--INSTANT GLOSSY EFFECT.

Knit one purl one

I'm knitting these little tops /dresses and hats for babies in Africa .Not your usual pale baby colours as they show the dirt too quickly .These little outfits may be worn for several days if the family is poor.They don't take very long to make and I do them in the evenings when I watch TV.

Off to do my ironing now ,catch up with you later .

Austin Powers or Herbie

I was such a happy bunny this morning ,we had two hours of rain, NO gardening ,NO laundry which means I can craft.It is short lived and the sun is now blazing down.

Anyway ,this little card which is all cut by hand is for challenge 10 at Unstampables.Use the colours of your countries flag and not use a square or rectangular card shape.

Rainbow Lady's challenge 201 - St George's Day /Patriotic/British.I was patriotic to Britain for 42 years before I moved to Saudi Arabia and then to Australia. I'm sure this won't be my last place to call home ,I can see another move in the future,perhaps a retirement home Europe .I can only hope.

I'm not really into using strong colours like blue and red together ,HOWEVER this paper (which came from Merry at Unstampables )is perfect .I couldn't decide if the numberplate should be LOVEBUG from HERBIE or to go with the psychedelic car and AUSTIN POWERS.The sentiments are stickers.
